Specifications in compliance with GB7588 for the ACOPD Overspeed Protection Device for Elevator Systems:
The ACOPD car up-speed protection device is an indispensable safety feature, integrating advanced speed monitoring and deceleration technologies. Its design ensures the detection of any overspeed in the upward movement of the elevator car, prompting it to either halt or decelerate to a safe speed within the counterweight buffer. This device must function effectively under the following scenarios:
a) During regular operations;
b) During manual rescue operations, provided the driving host is not visible or alternative measures control the car speed within 115% of the rated speed.
When the ACOPD device stops an empty car, deceleration should not exceed 1gn.
5.6.6.4 The deceleration mechanism should act on:
a) The car, b) The counterweight, or c) The wire rope system (including suspension or compensation ropes); or
d) The traction wheel, or e) A traction wheel shaft supported by only two points.
The ACOPD device must be operable without the need to access the elevator shaft.
Post-activation, the elevator system should resume normal operation only with the intervention of qualified personnel.
Following activation, the ACOPD device should remain operational.
The braking components of the UCMPD device should apply to:
a) The car, b) The counterweight, or c) The steel wire rope system (including suspension or compensation ropes), etc.
UCMPD braking components may be shared with devices designed for:
- Downward overspeed protection;
- Upward overspeed protection.
Braking components for upward and downward directions may differ.
The UCMPD device should stop the elevator car within these specified distances:
a) The distance from the landing station at which unexpected elevator car movement is detected should not exceed 1.20 meters;
b) The vertical distance between the landing door sill and the lowest part of the car foot guard should not exceed 0.20 meters;
c) When configuring the shaft wall as per 5.2.5.2.3, the distance between the elevator car sill and the lowest part of the shaft wall opposite the elevator car entrance should not exceed 0.20 meters;
d) To ensure optimal safety, the vertical distance between the car sill and the floor door lintel, or between the floor door sill and the car door lintel, must be at least 1.00m. This design guarantees that the elevator car can securely carry any load up to its rated capacity, maintaining this safety distance as it moves from a stationary to a level position.
During the UCMPD device's stopping process, the components are meticulously engineered to ensure the car's deceleration does not exceed safe limits:
a) A maximum deceleration of 1.0gn, should the empty car inadvertently move upwards.
b) The allowable deceleration when the free-fall protection device engages during an unintended downward movement.
5.6.7.9 In the event that the device is triggered or if self-monitoring detects a failure in the stopping component, a qualified technician must release or reset the elevator system.
The release mechanism of this device is innovatively designed to function without the need for shaft entry.
After activation, the device should swiftly return to its fully operational state.
